I wonder why we don't separate these from indica? Who knows if research was done we might notice a difference in high similar to sativa / indica difference except more subtle.

The leaf they give as a indica leaf looks more like a cross to me. There really isn't any difference between the plants (indica and afghanica). I've never even really heard Afghanica used to name a kind of weed other then in Georges book.

On the cross thing I'm kinda with you on that it most likely is a cross to exaggerate the difference in blade size.
It'd be nice if they distinguished it, so we could try to grow a 100% afghanica to see the difference ourselves.
