What's your primary goal?
When the plant is growing I tend to favor the best smelling.
I don't know why but I think it translates into the final taste of the bud.

Even though I know its not potency related or anything, I tend to get happy over the best smelling plant too, probably next would be the frostiest plant.

I look for high bud to leaf ratio.

Density and Trichome formation. I really hate the spongier buds, always feel like they burn through in two hits.

Depends really. I do different strains for different reasons. This is Man Eater grown by a fellow Growery member http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/478336/page/1
I bred that strain just cause I wanted to find a nice mix of Sour Diesel and Green Crack. The strain was also some of my first work doing crosses of strains just using female plants.
Sweet 16 I bred for SOG grows. Was bred for low branching. I wanted the strain to have a decent amount of stretch since it was bred to be planted as soon as it rooted but had buds the whole way up the stem with little space in between. This one took a while. Ended up being a cross of Mikado and Sweet Tooth #3 with a touch of a secret strain that helped it grow like a poll.
Then there is what most breeders do. This is a nice strain, so is this one. Now slap a little pollen from plant one onto plant to and sell seeds for huge bucks.

Heh, I've been saying that for years now. I think about 90% of the growers here are dying to get their hands on some of his seed stock heheh.

Frostiest plant.
On the contrary of your guys' favorite, I'd love to get a plant that doesn't smell like anything (until its in the jar anyway).

only having one grow under my belt I haven't really got much experience to speak of, but my ideal plant would be one that's more of a bush than a tree, I want it short, fat and chunky. For the buds I'm looking for density, which I put above most other things when I'm examining bud, followed by smell

yeah his sweet 16 looks so damnm nice i wish his seeds was for sale somewhere at least
Grassroots in San Fran Still has some of my seeds and clones are in stock (as of last friday)
Docs Choice in Sacto (They have Gina, Man Eater, Purple Monster seeds in stock)
Sanctuary in San Fran (I'm not sure what seeds they still have and they still have some of my rope hash for sale)
Harborside (stocked them with clones on Friday they may be out after a whole weekend)
Mr Nice San Fran will no longer be getting seeds. They ran out then started selling others as mine.
Believe me I'm trying to get them done as fast as I can but they sell as fast as I can make em. I'm expanding the grow as we speak but it's a pain cause I don't feel like doing shit while I'm getting the last of my cancer treatments finished up.

With my luck they would be sold out by the time I got there.
The better deal would be send positive vibs Magash's way and when he gets better go out to Cali and smoke a joint with him.
