Although you don't get males from the seeds I've been thinking about this lately.
When you have a male, I don't see how you can know that it has the characteristics you are looking for.
But when you got two different females...
Lets say for example.
You have one female that is dark purple, and that is something you want.
Then you have another female with some kinds of traits you like, maybe its pink pistils, smell/taste, etc.
You know what both buds are like when you smoke them.
With the male, you don't really know what kind of bud he would have produced as a female, it could have been fluffy buds, etc.
With a male it just seems like more of a gamble.
So would female to female pollination be better for isolating your strain for how you want it?
It's just something I have been thinking about lately.

Yes. If both females being used are the way you like them the chances of finding a blend of both that fits you is easier.
It takes more work to find a good male parent plant when done nornaly. It takes more work to do the actual breeding with two females.

i can see how females would be the way to go.. just as u mentioned above... BUT... THIS SOUNDS LIKE A QUESTION FOR ......... magash
