I went to the hempcon in spring down in LA at the convention center...... IT SUCKS:
NO WEED....REPEAT NO WEED AT HEMPCON.
NO SMOKING OR EDIBLES EITHER.
EVERYBODY HAD B.O.
JUST A GIANT HEADSHOP.
THE EQUIPMENT EXPO IS NOT IMPRESSIVE COMPARED TO ANY HYDRO SHOP.
Parking at the convention center is $10-$15 dollar also. Go down the street to one of the many collectives in Downtown LA instead.
Save your money and go to the california medical cannabis cup 2011, if you want to go to a toker friendly event.

It's only 15$ man, even if it does suck. I'd still like the experence.
I'm taking my pops with me, and I told him the same thing.
It's HEMP con, not Weedcon.

I went with my dad also, neither of use enjoyed ourselves. It cost us more than $15 though, $30 for both our tickets and $12 for parking to walk around a headshop/tattoo expo for a half hour. From the looks of everyone in there nobody thought it was cool (except the vendors selling $800 bongs). The only thing cool about that day was going to Downtown LA for the first time as a mmj patient.......hitting a LA hash bar would be a better way to spend $50 or Venice Beach would be a much better time IME.
