do you guys find either of them offensive?
how about any word thats not acceptable in society?
i saw the debate on the daily show, and thought id ask the growery. i do beleive its just context that makes a word bad, not the word itself. to me they are just words, and "bad" words are just words and they are perfecty fine. i say nigger, fuck, shit, bitch, anything if i think its the right word to use. and i will call someone retarted if thats what they are, and i dont see a problem with it.

Funny, i was having a conversation similar to this with my coworkers the other day. I started it by saying something like, "when i say something and someone is offended by the language I use, that is their problem." Why should i care if someone is offended by a word? It's just the way we were raised, to not use certain words in polite society.

Words have a lot of power, and even though it is about the context it is said in, and you have the right to say it, doesn't mean that it must be used. you will never be in a position where you NEED to use such a word. I would call it immature, but wouldn't get hyped up aboot it.

ya, i think i would agree with you. Where I work I usually have to be well behaved and professional to the people I interact with. It's a circumstantial issue. I don't litter my conversations with profanity while at work. That's just not professional and would jeopardize my industry reputation. however, when i am with friends I really don't care if i say fuck every other word and neither do they. Since that's really not how i talk it's an occasionally accepted occurrence.

i dont like the fact that you cant talk the same in a professional enviroment. i would laugh my ass off if The president said fuck. or called everyone his niggas. thatd make him alittle more apealing if you ask me.
i dont think you should be stupid about it, ive heard people that sound fucking retarted with the word choices they use, eithers its silly, or its bland. No body wants to hear fuck every other word all the time, just like you wouldnt want to here any word all the time.

I usually only curse if I'm angry or excited.. in regular conversation, especially at work or in mixed company or around kids, it's just not polite.. most people I meet who use the same old crude phrasing over and over are usually.. ahem..niggers or borderline retards..
