in my tent all my exhaust is first sucked thru the carbon and i have no smell at all that leaves the tent

I'm glad your carbon scrubber is working adequately for your tent. However I know a half dozen growers who have large ops who have had issues with carbon scrubbers even when doubling or tripling up.

Venting a 4x4' tent is a bit different than a 20x20' room. Strain also plays a huge part in whether or not you have smell leaks. I've had friends switch strains and all hell breaks lose when they're trying to control odor starting in the second weak of flowering.
