 how do i tell the sex of my plants?

having a hard time trying to figure out the sex of my plants. i havent seen any balls growing under the leaves or anything so i guess thats kinda good cuz that wud say they were males. but everytime i think its a females the sprouts i though made them female turned out to just be more leaves growing. im at 9 weeks 4 weeks and 3 weeks for my plants. im gonna do some updated pics soon so hopefully someone cud help me to identify what they are cuz id really like to start my cloning rounds soon.

Definitely post pics. There's no way they're aren't showing sex after 9 weeks.

wow thank you so much for that lil guide my 9 week old is def a female.!@!!!!!!! woo hooooo!!!!! now my other question is she is she is abt a foot tall but all her leaves and branches are very conpact anyway i can safely spread her so when i do flower i can get the most outta her.

I'm not sure what you mean by "spread her" but different strains of cannabis plants grow differently. If you mean spreading her out, as in Low Stress Training, then that might be an effective way to move branches and leaves to let light penetrate to your lower branches. Sativas generally tend to have a compact look, as the branches grow up and along the main stem rather than out like you will see in Indica Varieties.
