Entheogens and Prescription Drugs

I take prescription drugs as most of you know.
Adderall XR and IR- in total 40mg per day.
Xanax- 0.25 mg - 0.75mg per day.
How would psychedelic drugs interact with these drugs and how long would you suggest I stay away from those before taking a psychedelic?

I'd say the day you take the psychedelic, do not take your medication.

Especially if the person you are used to being is a person that has those chemicals in them, ya know what I mean?

I'm sure a little xanax won't bother  your trip. Help it be smooth if anything. But then, what do I know?

You can definitely take xanax / adderall with trippys. Just don't take both at the same time and if at all possible don't eat adderall that day - I wouldn't think it'd be fun.

Xanax is my best drug friend :awesome2:

I once ate 12 tabs and also ambien all night long

And iono. Xanax just knocks me out. Without fail. Every time. I wake up 4 hours later like "well, that was a wasted $3..."

Out of curiosity, why oh why would you recommend that? I mean, psychedelics are all very powerful things that can cause pretty intense panic in some situations. I know thats not the case every time...but still.

If hes used to taking it normally, wouldn't he feel really out of place and uncomfortable and disoriented without it? Personally, when taking such a powerful mind altering drug, I want to be as comfortable as possible. It seems like stopping any medications that hes used to would only cause one more potential disaster during the trip?

Maybe I'm just a pessimist.

I don't think tripping is really about being heavily sedated on pharms. I mean if he starts having a bad trip then the xanax could come in handy, but I'd recommend a cleaner brain slate for the drug to work on.

i stay stay clear of you meds if you dont need them, and safe the xanax until you are gonna trip so that you dont freak

If you actually NEED your xanax during the day to keep away from anxiety, i don't think you should be tripping..
But who knows, maybe the trip will help you with you anxiety:shrug: Or make you freak the fuck out

Time to answer some questions and clear some things up

I mostly just take a xanax at night and go to sleep, that's all right now, but in the past I would use them a lot.

People have said- "Amphetamines + psychedelics = psychosis" so I was a little freaked.

I hope entheogens can help with my OCD/anxiety and I also know a hard trip probably will turn out to be a good trip.

I can obviously not take an adderall for a day, but I want to find out if it would be bad if the opportunity to trip came up and I take it, if it would be bad if I was on adderall.

Since it is "normal" for me anyway, would it be bad?

Also, if I take a xanax the night before and trip the next morning the next day if that would be bad?

I have had some mixed responses in the past.

I hope to get a MMJ card and stop the prescription drugs and just use the marijuana.

technically ADHD but I really just use it what it is for- to psychogically stimulate myself. :shrug:
How did it fuck your health? Did it use a condom?
