I was bringing in some groceries not too long ago and noticed that little bastard chilling on my garage door. A minute after i took that pic i smeared the little bastard across my driveway.

We had a brown recluse nest stirred up when we did some remodeling in our home. I remember laying in bed reading and seeing one of these fuckers crawl right up to me. Spiders kinda freak me out. well poisonous ones anyway.

Black widow bites are painful, and they can cause death in children and pets, but for the most part a black widows venom isn't strong enough to kill a full grown adult. Even so i wasn't taking any chances with that spider. I missed once with my instrument of death and the speed at which the spider moved was crazy. I think that was the only time i really started sweating. Still, a fast spider was no match for my broken swifter of doom.

Well, smaller venomous animals need a strong poison otherwise they won't be able to kill their prey. Compared to some other spiders, like the brown recluse, a black widows venom isn't very strong. Bites are still very painful and require medical attention, so i still wouldn't want to find out what it's like to get bitten.

I'm just glad i saw her first before she decided to nest somewhere in my house. Baby black widows are far more dangerous then adults. I'm going to have to spend tomorrow afternoon combing our wood pile for more as well as pick up some sevendust from wally world
