Monitor crapped out earlier today.
Went out to get a new one.
I expected to pay the base price and some tax, right?
Not so fast, Mister!
In addition to this, I also got to pay the stupid recycling fee!
WTF?

wow i can say my town has one good thing for it, there is a place you can dump you used appliances off at(no charge) and they even take monitors as well.

Damn Andy, you should have made a post. Tubby got me hooked up with a 24'' Samsung LCD, 50,000:1 CR for 270$ shipped.
But I guess you needed it immediately.
edit- I originally thought mine was a 27''

I do too. I just have a boner for Samsung. Ive never had a single problem with ANYTHING ive owned from them
