how can i tell BY APEARENCE if my BUD is indica or sativa dominat.

You can't tell for sure or not just by looking at it, you need to eithe smoke it, or find out the genetics to be sure....
But in my experience light green buds are more commonly sative dom. but I dont think you can really be sure.

Indica are generally pretty tall while the sativa is short and bushy. Just do a search under google images, and you will have a pretty relevant idea on what to look for.

I thought it was the other way around? I got a pure indica with some huge fan leaves thats really short and squatty.

if that were the case id probley have to agree with volcom.. lighter the green more sativa dominante from my exp as well

Yeah, you can never really tell unless you know for certain. They could actually be a blend of both and you can't really judge by the high or the taste.

I gotta disagree,
Sativa = More of a psychedelic mind trip, (Much taller and leaner).
Indica = Couch lock, paralyzed (short and busy, has the typical marijuana leaf). Also what's in the streets is usually indica dominant, perfect for indoor growing cause of how they grow. It's a much shorter flowering period opposed to sativas as well.
One thing I've been wondering is if a pure indica is capable of yielding a lot than a pure sativa?
Or if there is no difference at all in terms of how much they both yield but more of a matter how well they are grown I guess
