Figured this would help people not on the west coast understand how tolerated marijuana is out here.
It cost about $160 for a MMIC (medical marijuana identification card) from the health department. But $60 will get you into a dispensary. Went to renew my first mmj rec today, because my first doctor gave me a temporary and it ran out...... so today I wanted to go somewhere closer and cheaper to renew and YEEHAW I found a legit doc for only $60.
I was actually worried it would be bullshit, but it works everywhere like visa.
I love California.

There is now a legit dispensary in Oakland that you do not have to have a medical rec to go to. LA is full of them. Steve B.'s $60 renewal only gets him into the high end dispensaries and will prevent him from getting a $200 fine if he is caught by a dickbag cop.

You do realize we have free magazines on public racks around that have medical coupons right?
Any of those will get you renewed for less than $100.
Just hope your favorite dispensery doesn't close down come July.

Yeah that's where I found the place, I think it was west coast cannabis magazine. You're totally right though. I just went to a dispensary that was super close to my house I've never heard of before and got hooked up with a free banana nut bread with 3g in it, and got some pure kush.
I don't live in LA so I don't think any thing will get shut down in IE.

The dispensary I frequent is mostly, thuggy youth, hilariously stoned old people, and sometimes the most beautiful women on the face of the earth.
It's quite the melting pot. Sometimes it'll be my nerdy ass, some hardcore 300lb mexican covered in tattoos, and a man in a extremely nice suit all waiting in the same small lobby for our bud..... usually the small talk is pleasant because we are all completely baked.
I remember one time they had rap playing, really bumping it and this brownish kid looks at me and says "Ahh shit ,you know he brought the west coast back."
 so I had no idea who the rapper was and just had to sleek off like a total narc  NERD ALERT....... THIS FUCKER ISN'T ONE OF US.

shit sucks though, now that the feds arent raiding, municipal governments realized they dont like mmj either, so now they are sending local PD and sheriffs on raids. its retarded as fuck, all the good clinics around me shut down, i havent picked up in forever and now i'm at a complete loss of who has good shit. don't want to go do 30min of paperwork to discover shit ass buds

Yeah but weedmaps does have plenty of legit dispensaries and I use it every time I go to a different town. I have yet to be burned by weedmaps.
