13 watts? You will get nothing in return from the plant with that sorry. And soil from outside is a terrible idea, not only does the soil prolly suck but is also probably filled with bugs that will multiply out of control since they will not be outside with their natural predators. If it IS good soil tho, you will most likely still have to deal with numerous bugs.
Is there a way to treat soil from our "backyards" so as to remove the pests yet maintain the quality of the soil where plant nutrition is concerned?
Hmm, What about filling burlap sandbags with soil then leave them hanging, suspended from something, anything, for some undetermined amount of time... say a couple of weeks?
What about compost? How is that different and what techniques from composting can we apply to our own soil in the backyard in order to treat it for indoor use?
