hi in september im going to russia and returning at the end... how can i put seeds in soil so that way they will germ in spring naturally? that way when i return the following year they will be there?? i was thinking of doing an auto like onyx or something that has show flowering time... its in russia near moscow.
I'm no expert, but I don't think that'd be possible. Seeds are gonna pop as long as the weather is warm enough or mainly if the soil temp is right. I don't know the weather patterns over there, but I'm sure it would still be too warm and the seeds would germ before winter even hit.
Off topic, but I used to to this with grass seed in the late fall/early winter. It's called dormant seeding. I would spread loam and seed in late november/early december. That is when it's cold enough so that the grass seed didn't germ. Come spring you've got yourself a nice bed of grass...lol.
