Fuck Best Buy

So I dont know if I told you guys, but I spilled water on my computer a while back. I have this "black tie warrenty" on my computer so it's covered. I sent it out, and they told me it would take 2 weeks to get repaired. Cool. So it comes back and it wasnt fixed when they tested it at my local Best Buy. So they shipped it back without calling me letting me know whats up. And so I called them when 2 weeks was up and they told me what happend. Sweet alright another week then it will work. So it comes back again and I have it for 2 days and its working fine, and then it wont power on again. So I take it back there and bitch them out for a while because I'm taking online classes this summer and need my computer. And they say its gonna be another 2 weeks at their stupid repair factory that didnt do shit in the first place. And the guy told me "yeah the technician that worked on your computer was sloppy" WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU TELL ME THAT! :kingcrankey:

ya dude most repair service for anything cars-computers is going to get what u pay for and usually even less

Yeah the warrenty costs like half the computer though, so the should be sucking my dick trying to get it done.

warranties are for suckers, especially when the warranty is 50% the price of the product :facepalm:

either find someone local to fix it, or just buy a new computer.

yeah it's not hard at all, and trip has a "Genius Iq" so it should assuredly be easy for him.

Also don't you think you would be better off not taking online classes, why enable your agoraphobia to affect you more, you need to be outside and socializing with people not inside spending your time on here.  Take the class at the campus it will help you get over your crippling anxiety.

The warrenty covers everything, I can literally throw my computer down the stairs and get a new one. I dont think warrenties are for suckers.

On laptops they can be worthwhile but desktops are so easy to fix and unlikely to break on their own during the time the warranty is good for unless due to extreme user error. 

I would never spend extra on a warranty even if something does break, which is unlikely, I could fix it for cheaper than the warranty.  But then again if i was to use a desktop I would just build my own which would be cheaper still, and I can't offer myself a warranty.

Apparently not from the sounds of your problems

It sounds like your warranty has been quite the pain in the ass

You could have saved yourself a couple hundred bucks on your purchase, then went out and bought a brand new one.

Computers are cheap these days. Especially if you went with a desktop.

I hate laptops. I cant wait to finish building my desktop.

yeah even laptops usually come with a 1-2 years manufacturers warranty, and the manufacturers are generally really good about it.  My friend got his netbook back in less than a week and in pristine condition.  I trust the manufacturers to work on my laptop far more than any best-buy techs. 

And even laptops are getting hella cheap these days I think the best set-up is a larger high-performance but not extremely high cost laptop and one netbook (the tiny ones) for school. 

If i was a gamer I might want a desktop but i can't find video games entertaining for more than 15-20 minutes these days so i don't really game anymore.

maybe not for yours but my netbook would be covered by water damage or dropping as long as it happened within the first year of owing it.
