I've always been so careful with my glass in the past... I've only ever broke one bowl, and that was in the process of scraping.
But I bought a neat new pipe a couple weeks ago, and I've already dropped it from my lap to the floor four or five times.
Wtf is up with that? At least it's a sturdy pipe, it's still 100% intact.

yeah, i had a piece like that. it was nice and thick and sturdy as hell.
i was smoking on my side yard one day and dropped it onto the cement (i wasn't sitting either, i was standing. granted i'm not very tall so it didn't drop too far, but still) and it only had a little scuff on it. i lost it a couple years later, i think someone took it (the bastard).

I hate losing pipes that I've had for years. I carved a wood chillum around the time I started smoking daily... that thing was my standby piece. I swear to fuck it hit me as nice as a bong. Cops took that piece from me once, but I smooth-talked it back... I thought I'd have that thing to pass on to a child or god-child when they started toking.... then one day it just vanished.. I think it must have fallen out of my pocket at a corner store. Losing that piece hurt more than I could have imagined.

i think losing a piece that you really like hurts worse than it breaking. because when it breaks you think "well, i had a lot of great times with that piece" but when it gets lost or stolen you think "i could have had so many more great times with that piece" and it really sucks.

I broke the first bowl I bought a while back. Fell off a table while I was breaking up reefer and shattered on the concrete.
We ended up smoking out of a potato that night.
I kept the pieces for a while but just ended up throwing them away eventually.
I still need to get a new pipe. I keep breaking slides too.
