My friend was throwing away nice bonghits because he says there is mold on them...I looked at it and it noticably had a partially "wet" feeling to it and im wondering...
If i cooked the moldy weed in the oven at 250F for a couple hours, would it kill the mold to where i could smoke the weed? And it would de-carboxylate it in the process...Would the mold be killed and the weed be perfectly smokeable?

I just happened to wonder about that specific question for a few years now and decided to just make a post about it...I figured it was a pretty stupid question
But what exactly is the scientific results of baking moldy weed? What would it do to the mold? Just curious

I remember reading somewhere that there's a wide variety of molds that are bad for you that can be found on bud. The worst of which is this green one that glows brightly under black light. (lethal) I'd advise checking for that.
The majority of the time I think that it's probably not mold on the bud, just an over-speculative eye.
I looked this up when I got bud that turned out to just have freezer burnt (dark black/brown patches on the bud), it was totally fine to smoke though.

Temps of over 300F is when the thc and cannabinoids start vaporizing...250F is perfectly fine and will just "de-carboxylate" the bud, making it active to eat and still active when smoked too...
I always bake my canna-brownies at 250F to ensure no thc or cannabinoids gets wasted
