I wanna make a firecracker because it'll be ready faster and I don't have any access to pot for the next week or two. But if it doesn't work I'll be really upset if it turns out that the butter I make from what I don't put in the firecracker makes the butter bunk because I took too much away for the firecracker.
Sorry if that doesnt make sense, I'm pretty spun right now.

dude make firecrackers until you can make butter. making like, 40 firecrackers is just as much work as putting it all in some everclear, then boiling off the alc in butter/water mixture and having butter. I think butter is more efficient too.

METHODS:
Ya I was just gonna make 1 firecracker and then make butter when I'm not so fucked up.
SmOakland: I don't use everclear anyway. I just put the butter and pot in a double boiler on simmer for an hour, stir every few minutes, then strain into a container using cheesecloth or pantyhose. I wanted to try method though.

I decided to make the butter.
I'm thinking 1 stick of butter and 1/2 cup vegetable oil ought to do the trick. I've got to say it's a HUGE 2oz because it's dehydrated from the vape I can't even fit 30g's into my mason jars.

My method is just weed & butter/vegetable oil too - no water
 there was so much vapoo that I had to use 1 stick of butter and about 1 1/2 cups of vegetable oil.
Gonna be a LOT of butter I guess.
How can I make that butter even more concentrated?

RESULTS:
Wound up with a full 1/2 pint mason jar and then like a eigth of another one(~250ml total). The liquid inside looks very dark brown, not greenish like I'm used to with making butter from bud. I wonder what I'll end up putting it in/on.
I'll post a pic later.

Yup, the higher percentage of alcohol the better. I'm going to try make some this summer and use the tincture to make THC suckers.

CONCLUSION:
The jars (although mostly composed of vegetable oil) have nearly solidified. They do not look as dark as earlier and if you put them directly in front of a light bulb the jar glows green.
I dipped my finger into the smaller jar it was still very very soft despite having sat in the fridge for the past ~4 hours.
I don't think they'll solidify much more than a gel.
Tomorrow I will test their potency and update with pics.

Just put a 1/2 tablespoon (7.5ml) on a mcdonalds burger and ate it.

An hour later I'm feeling kind of stoned, like I smoked a little over an hour ago kind of feeling. Not too bad considering I've already smoked all the pot that I used. Just ate a 1/4 tablespoon to kick it up another notch.

Sorry to bump this again but I had a lot of difficulty finding an informative site about cooking with vaped buds.
Not that this thread is highly informative but regardless it may provide a piece to the puzzle for someone else eventually.
Anywho..:
Ate 3 tbsp right now, admittedly sort of drunk but... I'll let ya know out of 10 how stoned I get. I'm completely out of buds so how high I get is completely dependent on this butter/oil stuff.

Suddenly feel very stoned or perhaps tired.
Granted I did do a lot of physical labor today.. Therefore It's hard to dispute. If I don't fall asleep soon I'll edit this post and differentiate which of the to I am.
Edit:  After reading the above I am pretty sure I'm super stoned. Either way I'll reupdate in an hourish.

I've never successfully cooked vaped bud into something that actually got me high before.
I'm very happy to say that it is official: vaped weed is worth saving!
So to anyone who vaporizes, save up your vaped buds because they are still useful!
I've got a very heavy body high like a super strong indica. It was very difficult to get out of bed and write this to be honest.
Well I am currently way too stoned to continue writing.
Time to go pass out.
