 blood clots

has anyone here ever had a blood clot? What does it feel like, try to describe it the best as possible? Do you know what caused it?
I prompt these questions because for 2 days now I have been experiencing pain in my left leg. Almost like a numb feeling but with pain if that makes sense at all. Its only been 2 days so I will give it another day or two before I start thinking about a doctors visit. But any information is appreciated

why would you seek medical advice on the growery? im sure theres plenty of medical forums that could give you much better advice.

yeah it sucks. I have noticed that the pain will sometimes go away if Im standing up and moving around and is usually worse while laying down or sitting in a chair.
a blood clot is just a complete guess. Im really at a loss to what else it could possibly be

im about to roll a blunt now to atleast take my mind off of the pain.
I think it might be related to opiate use, so thats a no-no. I had 3 days of binging after which followed 2 says of terrible migraines and now these cramping/ clot/ whatever it is which has been around 2 days now.
We'll see how everything feels tomorrow then seek professional help if it is still bothering me. I really hate going to see the doctor

yeah but we don't really know what a blood clot feels like. I mean there might be someone who does, but you're probably more likely to get bad advice than good advice on this subject.

I cant help that people with no knowledge on the subject decided they wanted to increase their post count. I was hoping that only people who had ever had a blood clot would respond

In the case of DVT, a blood clot in the leg may cause pain, swelling, redness and increased warmth. The leg may ache when standing. This usually occurs in one leg only.
While many people with DVT have no signs or symptoms, the classic symptoms are:
* firm swelling
* pain or tenderness over a vein
* sharp pain when the foot is flexed upwards
* redness
* warm sensation over the affected area
* dull, aching tightness in the calf, especially with walking
* dilation (widening) of the surface veins of the leg
