 My mothers in the hospital.

Shes been complaining about her calf hurting, and chest hurting for a week now, and it got so intense early this morning she was rushed to the ER.
They say she has a blood clot in her lung, and her leg.
We will see how serious it is pretty soon.

Blood clots are nasty business. She will likely have to go on blood thinners ASAP and stay on them for good.
Anyway, I hope she is OK. Prayers sent.

Sorry to hear about your mom man. I am sure she will pull through. Blood clots can be serious business but at least they caught them in time

They gave her some blood thinners last night, that made her swear a whole lot, and put her in a lot of pain. They weren't sure if she was going to make it to the end of the weak. But she's actually been able to sit up a bit today.
More test results come in tonight to see if the blood clots have gotten better.
Im not sure if i stated what was wrong exactly. She has blood clots in her lungs, that are giving her hard time breathing and in her leg. Her heart rate is abnormal due to it trying to pump blood into areas that are blocked off. So pretty serious.

I went and saw her tonight. She's able to sit up in a chair and eat. Things are beginning to look up, and the meds are working so far. They don't know what is causing the blood clots yet though. By thursday they think she will be out of ICU and into a regular hospital room which is good.
and woah when she was in the ER her heart rate was at 200bpm due to the blood clots

My mom had a blood clot in her leg back a few years ago. It's scary stuff for sure.
Nice to see that things have shown improvement so far. Hopefully the rest of her recovery will come along soon enough.

Interesting. Not her being on blood thinners, but the Nuva Ring thing. I'm not sure if that's a side effect, or on a warning label or whatever as I am not on birth control, but if it's not, I would contact an attorney and at least see what they have to say anyway.

She's been getting really upset and depressed lately. We just dont really know what to do, she cries and yells.
I'm thinking about taking her on vacation to florida to see some nice beaches or something this summer. Maybe it will up her mood and give her something to look forward too.

Sorry to hear, I know a few people who got depressed after a stint in hospital. A holiday would be good, help her get her mind off illness and back into living her life. Bring her down to Australia, she can chill with my mum and explore while we smoke bongs

Good news, everything is looking good, so she might not have to be on blood thinners for her whole life.
She has had chest discomfort a lot lately, so she's gonna be going to her cardiologist soon.
