just made a grow room in the garage. the problem is that i live in oregon and it gets mighty cold at night.. its getting to be summer and we can crop some amazing outdoor. so my question is should i insulate the room?? should i be worried about the cold at night?
It depends on how cold the room gets at night, if it's dropping to 60 or below thats not good, if it's gonna drop more than 15 degrees from when your lights are on, thats not good either.
Depending on that, it may be best to insulate and setup some good ventilation, because the insulation will keep your room from getting too cold, but it will also hold the heat in while your lights are on.

Made that mistake before. A whole fucking crop seeded. Live and learn eh??
