what's up with this branch

there are a couple of small ones like that and I was wondering if it's going to spread and harm the rest of the plant.

could be numerous things

just be sure to watch it closely and make sure it doesn't start spreading

if it does then it could be a sign of several different things

the bottom of the branch is darkening and turning brown, and there's been tons of rain if that helps narrow it down to more than could be anything

my money is on the excessive rain...a tree that big needs a lot of rain but still can be over watered...i mean is it THAT much rain?

shittons of rain since the end of the year. it's usually pretty bad around this time but we've had a couple of cyclones around the country that we've caught the edge of the storm. the plant will hold up fine and there's no chance of flooding, but the land around the garden has been waterlogged for the last week.

chances are it's the rain that caused, i just don't know what it is and why it's only effecting two small branches. those leaves though droopy are pretty dry, more on the crisp side. I just want to know if I should chop it or not.

thats how it often shows itself....just certain parts of the plant getting too much or not enough water or whatever the case is

but if it spreads then its probably not...unless its still raining and then its probably not because once it gets too much water i mean it doesnt take much to push it over the edge

but then again its really hard for a plant in the ground to get overwatered especially one as nice as her

so....am i right am i wrong? well as long as it doesn't spread, who cares right?

hmm...how much longer does that tree have to go again? i would look in the thread and i will after this but some plants will not get enough or too much nutes to such a large plant...i mean you have to realize that thing is massive

could be a small thing with the roots only affecting certain parts of the plant...

either way i dont think its anything to worry about but if it does spread then come back and see me

and us and them

it's probably worth noting that the yellowing of the leaves is starting to happen all around the main stalk cause it's only got about 3 weeks left.

There should definitely be enough nutrients in the soil to keep her going through. The garden has plenty of dynamic lifter and long lasting NPK. She'll get a hit of some phosphorus real soon to make sure she fills out well.

thanks for the help, I'll keep an eye on it and if it changes i'll let you know.
