copper wire
    #362520 - 02/11/10 05:36 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

I was reading about ways to repel slugs and came across a method of making a ring out of  copper around the bottom of the plants. supposedly making it a closed circuit creates a tiny amount of electricity.
Then I started thinking about an experiment done along time ago with growing corn in an electrical field and having positive results. I'm having trouble finding this article but will post it when I find it. has anybody out there that uses this slug control method found any increase in yield? does any body know more about growing plants in electrical fields?

thanks for the response guys. I guess I didn't ask my question very well earlier, I don't have a slug problem but am more interested the effects of electricity on growing plants. at least next year I can protect my baeocystis patch from those slimy little fuckers.  I first started looking into this when I found a strange product on ebay claiming to able to create a small enough electrical field to help plants. sounded a little far fetched so I thought I would try to find out more. I found this http://www.pinoyhenyo.com/What_might_be_the_effects_of-20081222045133509.html
I won't be buying this gizmo off ebay but aside from that any thoughts?
