What would work better?
-2 tubes made from 6" PVC with 4 holes each
OR
this, with 8 holes into it http://doitbest.com/Main.aspx?PageID=64&SKU=628964&utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=FREECSE&utm_term=628964&utm_content=6790&utm_campaign=DATAFEED
I guess I like the second one because I feel like the roots will have more space in that big tub rather than being confined in two separate tubes, but I don't know if that's a plastic that will be easy to work with, and the double hinge lid is kinda weird... might have to make a custom one of my own.
my only real hesitation with the PVC option is that I can't think of an easy way to prop them up with no risk of them rolling over

To keep them from rolling you need to make a wooden frame, the box will need to be blacked out hard.

well of course the box would be blacked out. I don't see how a wooden frame can keep them from rolling either. it can keep them from moving around, but with a 10 pound plant sitting on top of it I bet I could get it to roll.

You like take a 2x4 cut a 3in semi circle and then cut a second one like that. Put the tube in one and the other one on top so it makes a complete tight circle all the way around and seal it with an adhesive.

fill ur closet with gravel and sink them into it, lol. I mean thats what i do and I have never even worried, like you got to remember a huge plant on top gives them a really high center of gravity thus easy tipping.

lol yes I know that... hence the reason I said "it can keep them from moving around, but with a 10 pound plant sitting on top of it I bet I could get it to roll."
I don't see me filling the closet with gravel though

Dude, I was joking about the gravel, thats what I do outside. Honestly, the wooden frame is the most safe and reliable way.
