What if you didnt have to be on record; and was allowed to grow for them?

Grow more bud then you need and take the rest to the dispensary. Then they decide if they want to buy it or not but anybody can go in,

How much actual salesmanship goes into it? Do you have to be the drug dealer claiming this and that or do they just look, touch and smell it then tell you what they will give you?

Different from club to club. Some like to act like big shit and break out a microscope and look over the buds with that. I bring one with me so when they say they have to go get the scope I break mine out and give them the "here ya go bitch" attitude. The guys I like the most just kick back with ya and break out a pipe or bong and give it a try.

In all odds, it's going to depend on the operation. The cannabis dispensaries here in California are hit or miss with regards to professionalism. I'm sure some of the shady ones don't give two shits about from who or what they purchase, they just want to flip that green stuff out the door for some quick change. But now that the issue is reaching mainstream consciousness across the country (Washington DC just overturned the Barr amendment which had blocked the district's medical marijuana program from being enacted for several years), local regulators are starting to take a harder look at the way these dispensaries operate, and how to effectively regulate them. Generally speaking, it seems that you need only to be a member of the collective to offer product in turn for cash compensation. If it's a tight ship, they will take out the jeweler's loupe and check the product for contaminants such as dirt / mites / etc., smoke a sample, and then offer you a price. Take it or leave it.

I've definitely encountered the 'big shit' attitude dispensaries. The employees there even wear lab coats. 
They think they're doctors or something!

Thanks for the insights guys! Don't pharmacists wear those coats too? If they have phd's in cannabis i'd let it slide. Not sure i really care about that though. I know of one club that tests their weed for the chemical make up (just thc content?), do a lot of clubs do that?

Not likely. I've only been to one collective in my area that goes so far as to claim to do scientific study upon the product they sell... and even then, I'm not entirely convinced that they actually do it!

It is a nice club but they charge up the ass. The best place for clones is just up the street at the Blue Sky Coffee Shop.
Examples taken from their winter handout.

Lol, thats kinda how i thought it was; but SWIM would have a foot in the door. Threw a short line of connections; SWIM i guess is kinda "1st chair" to grow for the dispense. Its opening in 2 weeks i guess; and SWIM has nothing to show for at the moment but some clones and the area to build; but nothing built (but mushies lol) 
Its just SWIM has a shady living situation; but honestly wouldnt mind sacrificing closet space and all to some how make this work. loud fans and heat expulsion are the two biggies. Cant have one room stupid hot (thats normally colder) then the rest...
I guess even if SWIM was gettin rid of a half lbs a month or so; it'd be a nice added paycheck, and worth the troubles (free smoke and a decent cash flow)
And the reason i mentioned about being registered is because theres a ring of growers and dispensaries around that are STRICTLY MMJ cards only. Caregivers and whole nine yards so if they get poped; they have some cusion to fall on. Where as SWIM isnt looking for that because of the whole process for a MMJ card...

I'd prefer decriminalized. I don't want a bunch of companies growing pot for the public. They'll just end up putting out shit weed.
But then I guess their would still be the market for connoisseur weed, kinda like micro brew. I wonder what it would do to the price of it though.

Lol... shit; if SWIM doesnt decide wtf he's gonna do, Imma step it up and become hermit status and just grow outta my closet. It'd be kinda a bad situation; but i already make up SO much bullshit about why i know about growing mushrooms; and why i buy the shit i buy from my store. Its hard telling people your buying PVC, Visqueen, Verm, and shop lights for your grandmas aloe vera plants O_o Its even harder when they all know you smoke and shit lol...
Fuck it. I think imma get my list for parts started. I've been wanting to pick it up again; just didnt want it at my crib. At least no roommates this time... Well, i doubt my mom's gonna gank my stash... HA!
