Hortilux MH Blue Series
    #327410 - 12/05/09 03:19 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Does anyone around here have any experience with this bulb.  It's what I was using in the past and am currently using it, but it occurred to me that it's time to replace it.  I didn't remember them being so friggin expensive though, $220.

So my question to you guys is, have you used this bulb??  If yes, is it worth extra hundred dollars for the bulb??  From what Hortilux spouts it has a pretty big spectrum for a MH.  But how important is this when you are only using it for veg really.  Although I do run a MH in a 1/3 ratio during flowering.

Gimme your thoughts!!  :kingcrankey:

I used em just to test and for a grower using them for both flowering and veg they make sense but for just the mothers I'm gonna use MH from one of the other makers.

Yeah, that's for the blue series though.  It has a VERY wide spectrum that it puts out.  Their other bulbs aren't that outrageous.

i went with a Sunmaster Cool Deluxe.  A number of people I talked to said it was very comparable and was quite a bit cheaper.  So we'll see how that goes.
