Weird question...kinda outta the blue but:
Processing foods robs them of the nutrients that food is supposed to provide.
Look at white and wheat bread- White bread is basically just empty calories, it contains very little soluble or insoluble fiber, protein, or nutrient value whatsoever...wheat on the other hand has all of the above and isn't nearly as hard on your body, because while white bread is processed essentially into a simple sugar, wheat bread remains a complex carbohydrate mitigating the effect on your insulin and glycogen production.

how do you feel about the fact that one-fifth of the country's petroleum production goes to producing and transporting food

and the fact that we use epic amounts of fertilizer for a higher yield. does this damage our aquatic systems?

They arent taxing junk food. Or doing any of the same stuff that they are doing with cigarettes. I think we should be able to do whatever we want to, to our bodies. But the government steps in all the time. I say if you want to do a buttload of Heroin so be it.
