So I've got about a half gram of mescaline from a buddy at work. Anyways what should expect and how much should I take?

the thing about mescaline also is that it comes on real slow. When I tripped it was only after about 2 hours that the trip finally started. It ended up lasting about 10 hours in total.  The experience was very mild and gentle, very euphoric with a dash of amphetamine like energy spurts. It seemed to come in waves.

well all I got is half a gram so your sayin take the whole amount? 500 milligrams from what I read on erowid is a pretty strong dose, maybe does 250 mg, wait for the peak then let the rest soak into my tongue

If you are an experienced psychonaut, the 500mg dose should be manageable for you. Just please make sure that you are in a comfortable state of mind and physical setting, where you will not be disturbed for at least 10 hours. It would also be advisable to tell a close friend or family member what you plan to do, so that they may check up on you or even trip-sit for you.

I have done mescaline a handful of times, both in its raw cactus form and in its extracted salt form. My dose has always been 400 mg in its extracted form, and have generally had very pleasant experiences with it. The only negative attribute I can recall was from my most recent experience, during which the trip was actually quite enjoyable, but during the come-down I experienced some intense nausea accompanied by a headache, after which I ended up vomiting. I found this odd, as typically the "phenethylamine signature" of nausea comes on during the beginning of the trip, and in my case this occurred at around T + 8 hours. At any rate, it did leave me a little on edge regarding any future use of the substance, so all I can say is to be careful.

If this is your first time with any psychedelic, I would only take half (250mg) of what you have in your possession. Happy trails!

The key to NOT throwing up with it is to smoke a ton of weed within the first hour. Always keeps my nausea down.

I would take the whole 500mg dose. Mescaline seems a lot milder of a trip.

hell yeah dude it took 3 hours for the tea to kick in. but it was mos def worth it.  i had to go into work a few hours into the trip, and the whole time there i kept telling everyone to wave their hands over their heads cause the streaks looks really cool.  :lol:

I really enjoy san pedro because of the other active alkaloids. I have never tried pure mescaline though so I cant really say I prefer one or the other.

I think it would be worth it.

It may not be better but it would be totally different, san pedro has a load of other active phens from what I understand.

It would be nice to get mescaline on its own.

I wouldnt imagine the experience itself would be that much better but cactus tea makes me and many other people nauseous. Pure mescaline in a powder would be much easier to consume also.

Im going to try and acid/ base extraction here in a couple weeks

Im gonna try that shit next week the body high I get from pedro is very similar to X just not as intense IMO I can only imagine how good I will feel not to mention the visuals.

I dont think mescaline visuals are that great. Although my only experience came with 22 inches of Pedro. I did get the very euphoric and body buzz feeling with slight pattern movements and breathing effects but nothing like shrooms or lsd.

From what I have read I took a fair dose but not a full blown experience.

cacti also vary greatly in potency.

Dont give up on the cactus get some stressed cactus they are generally more powerfull.

I dont know if it was a weak cactus or just not enough cactus. It was only 22 inches and it was pretty skinny. I have read people ingesting more around 36 inches of pedro for a full experience.

I got a couple more healthy ones that I am growing but I wanted a more mellow first experience. I was somewhat unaware of exactly what the experience would be like despite experiences with shrooms, lsd, and several RC's. Next time I will get a little more adventurous

It's shifty. I've seen it for that much, around 200/g and then I've seen much much lower. It can be sold for very expensive because it's obviously not common, but there's no way it's actually worth that or costs that much to synthesize 1 gram.

Anyways it's ridiculous, I wouldn't pay 100 per dose just to have some synthetic I'd go take that 200, put it to good use,  & extract a shit load from cacti over blowing my money on two doses worth anyday :justdontknow:

If you got a good dose worth of mescaline like 500mg, and it turned out to be 2CE or something I wouldn't be complaining.

That's true, 500 mg of 2c-e for $50 would be a bomb deal.

20 mg of 2c-e cut with 480 of filler, however would not be.

Money isnt the issue people will charge all sorts of prices but if it is a pill that has like 20 milligrams in it you probably got 2c-e if it is a rather large dose like 400mg - half a gram you probably got mescaline.

If I sold rc's as mesc I would just add sugar to a capsule and make it look like 400 mg.;)
