Hey I was wondering what kind of lighting best suites clones and whether or not they would grow well under a 400W HPS. Thanks

400W HPS is too strong for clones if they haven't rooted yet. Once they're well established then that would be fine

Well other than that, what wattage would be good in a flouro, and any particular make/model that's affordable yet good for the growth?

So if one has some clones that are currently rooting
and one only has a 400 or a 600w light
are they not going to make it?

I'm sure they wouldn't die on you. It'd be a waste of electricity though.
Flouro's would be a better choice. Possibly CFL's or T5's or something.
