Depends on if you're starting inside until veg or sprout it's getting late to germinate and plant sprouts. Or if you are using buckets or in the soil. Otherwise the outdoor soil should suffice. What kind of flora are in the perspective area? Is the soil dense or wet? How's the natural water supply?
Mostly you can use whatever is in your starter pot with the plants, just stir up about 2 feet of the outdoor soil and drop it in.
Using 5 gallon buckets, for a pot grow, you can mix reg. 1 part potting soil/ 1 part perlite/ and 1 part growing soil. Avoid soil that uses time release nutrients, this can fuck up the nute balance.
I recommend just putting the plants directly in the soil for bigger growth. It's said that 1 gallon=1 foot growth, 5 gallon bucket=5 foot growth.

I actually just sprouted and put them outside so I think you will be ok, but probably wont get as much of a harvest.

To lazy to make your own? I'm not certain you will like growing then!
Most potting soil at the stores SUCK..
best thing to do is make compost, and grow with that 10%-20% perlite and 10%-20% verm or mix in some black kow instead of compost, and be sure to put in a bit of bonemeal for flowering!

Try to find a local land scaping or nursery or something most of them have there own organic soil they sell for fairly cheap, I got 45, 50lb bags for 50$
