A few hours earlier i was trying to train the largest plant and i managed to break the stem over. It made a nasty cracking sound. after that it would stand up straight. I duct taped it too. Man this shit is really scaring me. Anyone want to come over and help me get this screen placed on? It's really a two man job. Oh well. I will see how this goes in a few hours. lights on at 8.

well over the last 36 hours ive managed to break about 3 main stocks and 3 smaller branches. All were duct taped up. It was a sorry sight my friends. Me trying to hoist this big screen up into position while trying to gently carress the plants into the position i desired. I learned that im going to have to train these fragile bitches first. Seems like a bonehead thing on my part. i'm shocked at how fragile they are compared to my last grow. we'll see how the next week goes with the training before i decide whether to retry this screen. Doesn't look good though. But don't fret, plenty of buds to be picked off 7 plants.

Broken branches are fine as long as it's not clean through. I dont know how hard it would be with your setup, but it is much easier if you place the screen above the plants and let them grow into it. I put my clones under when they're about 4-6inches tall. also, if you have to put it on later than that, i had good luck with setting the screen on top of the plants so that they are holding it up, and then just working 1 branch through at a time. just dont drop it on it, set it down soft. the only branches i broke were from setting it down to hard. and one of the weed urban legends is that if you brake the stem and it repairs itself, that branch will grow bigger buds. I guess you can put it to the test first hand. keep up the good work.

Thanks Mushr00m Man! I forgot I had added the HPS bulbs last night so I didn't get in there before they turned on to take the pics. Next time. I didn't even fuck with the white balancing or anything. All the plants are very healthy and bushy indeed. The one that I pulled was in a good spot since the one next to it is so much taller than all the others. Luckily, they have remained just as vibrant as prior to breaking all those stems. I might try to take some clones at the End of this grow from some of the undergrowth. We'll see how things go up till then. If it looks like I can continue with another grow right after this then I will do that. We'll see how this all goes.

Thanks! I have no idea how long that root was. Same thing happened last grow about this time as well. I can't remember if i posted a pic of that or not. I took some pictures tonight before the lights came on. The only light in there is the green one so i just relied on the camera's built in flash. It worked pretty well cause it was pitch black in there.

It is to my severe disappointment that I announce that I will not be using the screen of green on this grow. It's far to late to apply this. No one is more disappointed than I am. Oh also, my best looking plant is a fucking hermi. im picking balls off almost daily.  soooooooooo FFFFFFUUUCK FUCK FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta work with clones maaaaain. I've actually never used a screen...But I do use string to help support the buds/bud sites. I want to try it next grow.

you should make a log of it. clones would be nice if i didn't live in a 700 sqft apt with a ton of nosey neighbors living feet from my plants.  I'm just going to be aggressive with inspecting and removing the males. It does appear that the female sites far outnumber the males. And it seems to be effecting only this plant, but I haven't really confirmed that as the plants in the back are nearly impossible to get to now.

I am my next grow is going to be documented. I'm paranoid as you can tell from some of my posts so it takes awhile for me decide to post something in the nazi state that I live in. Shit I even posted my mushroom grows under a different name for fear of being caught.

700 sq ft apartment is where its at!!! Haha I hate it so much. I cant wait to move into a small house in a year or 2. Until then...paranoia and super restricted grows...bleh.

no worries. You can still train them with string(I use parachute string) to get an even canopy similar to a scrog and if you want that far, it would be much easierto work them into the screen. Like this:
