So who's got recommendations on how to maximize the harvest of the trichomes? I've got bubble bags and was planning on that for a few runs, but i would like to try something else as well. I saw the method you did last Integra and was thinking about that too. It just can't be seriously stinky in my kitchen and/or kill me.

I just found a seed on the floor of the growroom! It looks viable, just tiny. I saw the caylx this was growing in the other day and i touched it and it fell. I didn't know where it went until now. I don't consider this a problem. I dont think there are going to be too many seeds so i will take all i can get. Of course i have pictures.

I only made my hash like that cause I haven;t gotten bubble bags yet. They should kick out a much higher quality hash, not that mine is bad. And I have to imagine my way is much more of a pin in the ass than bubble bags. But maybe using the blender and then pouring into the bag set could be a good mix.

Last night I added another 12.5 ml of Gravity. ppm is 800 or so.
I just walked right into the wall as if it wasn't even there. I open the door to my grow room at night, before the lights come on, and I move the stanley blower out in the bedroom and point it to blow inside the grow room. The bedroom is no longer 75-80 degrees. In fact, today during the day it was 64 degrees in there. When i woke up today it was a bit warmer but that's to be expected from the lights. Some of the leaves that are closer to the bulb have been burning. Nothing im really too worried about. One of these days I will have a grow where I wont burn the leaves. I just hate the space i have to work with. Oh well, next grow (coming in Jan, 2010) I won't veg as long. Hopefully it's a grow that lasts less than 70 days. It will also have less plants. It might be just one or two plants. we'll see. I tell you all these pictures just don't do justice to the way these buds look on this one particular plant. I squeezed one the other day and it was solid as wood. Even the buds that are way down at the bottom of the plant are decent sized. I haven't shown any of those pictures yet. Sometimes I hold back my rants for you guys. I'm sure if i had a private log I would fill pages and pages. Maybe i shouldn't hold back my thoughts.

So, the PPM's are up to 960 or so as of last night (they've had 2 feedings since then) and I have 37.5 ML of Gravity in the 25 gallon res. It really murks up the water a bit and I seem to be requiring more acid to balance the PH down to 5.8. so the label recommends 1-2 ml per gallon. I've got 1.5 ml per gallon. Quite frankly, i haven't noticed the growth that ballsach had on his buds. I am debating how to feed these things over the next few weeks. I'd say we are roughly 2 weeks from harvest.
 
Oh, something I've wanted to mention for a while - a couple weeks ago i was inspecting all the feeding system parts and noticed that on one of the plants the roots were growing into the feeding tube. I was amazed. I pulled it all out and it must have been a foot long down inside the spout! It looked pretty healthy. I will post a picture tomorrow if i remember.

that's crazy, yeah, eventually i need to go to a dwc system... just afraid, dirt is pretty much tried a true, plants hold up a little better. tho i am sad with my estimated 2-3oz of 8plants when its dry... but damn... its all good stuff.

well that's what i get for 1 400w light, not veging long enouhg probly. or using known strains that are good prducers, but i'm learning.
if you had to recommend to someone on a budget, what nutrients would you suggest? for the most part i just water my plants once i start flowering, using miracle grow bloom booster 2, maybe 3 times during flowering, sparingly.
and i should say 2-4, haven't really kept track of how much has been smoked, trimmed off for pre-harvest exam. and so-on. i was hoping for a half oz of each plant when i started this one. but right before flowering, i need to trim off sites i know aren't going to produce so it focuses on making a bunch of nice colas. along with feeding it and watering it correctly. was giving all of them a red party cup's worth of water every 2 days sometimes 3.

The fax farm line ups seems to do good for many people including me and are fairly cheap when it comes to nutrients. You can pick up the whole 3 part set for around $50. It consists of Grow Big, Big Bud, and Tiger Bloom. I add molasses and a B supliment to mine.

and i would recommend floranova. it's all i've ever used. seems to be doing fine for me. I like it becuase is simple and only one bottle is needed instead of having to mix up a bunch of shit. i dont know if you can use those with soil grows or not, they might be (as i suspect) only made for hydroponic growing.

Sorry guys. For some reason i can't upload pictures to the site. here's one from tonight. These bitches are starting to turn purpllleeeeee. not so much in this picture. I inspected the trichomes with a microscope on all the plants in about 3 different spots each (each spot higher up on the main stalk). I'd say they are 60-70% milky white. I also noticed several seeds poking their heads out. Didn't get a picture of it though. but i will.

I raised the ppm's to 1100 last night and used fn bloom and some dnf carbologic. No gravity was used. I will run this for 4 or 5 days then I think I will switch it over to just distilled h20 until the end. At the time I do that I will also add a MH bulb and switch it iwth the hps every night until finish. I also plan on doing no water in the last 48 hrs and I will also have 48 hours of darkness before harvest. I'm estimating harvest within the next two weeks.
