no problems, just duct taped around it and it sealed it off airtight.
works like a charm (for my set up at least)

finally have things set up the way i want. check it out:
AREA 1: Clones, seedlings, vegging
So I have 64 watts of floro tubes directly on a couple more troublemaker and troublemaker (hindu kush x master kush) x white widow plants. I'm also starting a couple clones under this light. Additionally, I got a 250watt hps to veg some more plants. These include more of the original TM and TMxWW plants along with some more cloneeeeyyysss from da club.

the 250w:
AREA 2: Flowering
This side of the curtain contains about 20 plants that are now flowering under the 1000watt. Most are clones from oaksterdam, I forget most of the names but the 5 biggest ones are casey jones. among the mix flowering right now are 2 troublemaker (hindu kush x master kush).
Ventilation:
I have a fan blowing hot air out the window on top, and a fan bringing outside air in through the bottom. Never really had any temperature problems so far

Damn! That looks crazy in the flower room. You managed to get 20 plants all lit under a single 1k lamp? or did i miss something?

Yeah, it's able to handle a lot more than I thought.
Originally it was going to be a 4x4 area under the big light, but I moved a couple troublemaker over to flower, so it's actually 18 plants. All looking healthy, starting to see some buds.
For power bill reasons, I'm probably gonna switch the 250watt to 18/6 instead of 24/0... does anyone forsee any problems with this? The 1kw hps is running 12/12 now.

You should have no problem changing to 18/6. My dark time is during the hottest time of the day.

^mine too. THat's the smartest thing to do usually. i also run 18/6 with my 400w mh, 24/0 with the floros. Both have worked well. You should be juuuusssttt fine.
