Hmmm couple of hundred dollars for mine. I used a wick system with 5 gal buckets, a resevoir, a lamp/balast, 2 squirrel cage fans, and nutrients...That was about all and my yields were nice considering the little I spent. I'll help you design a setup if you'd like...Just give me a price range.

Oooooo I don't remember my yield to be honest but if you would be willing to spend 500 dollars I can lead to you a nice nice hydro setup. My yield wasn't amazing because I only let them get like a foot tall before flowering...Maybe less. It was a very nice yield though for a first grow and for the type setup that I used.
My setup now you could probably build for around 500 dollars give or take but either way we could adjust lamp size etc to match your budget. My first grow was 8 plants by the way. I have pictures I'll try to get up tonight.

The first setup was just a simple wick system VERY inexpensive using a 250 watt bulb. Now I use a larger hydro setup. What size room and what kind of harvest are you looking for?

Read through this thread. My major expense was my lighting. Then probably nutes then other equip like the pump and airstones then electricity costs. IDK what it was total. You can do it for less than 500 i would think.

ive dont that same setup hanging my light from the closet poll, my only tip is make sure you train your plants, they will get big. expect atleast 6 more inches in height before you flp em

i mean if u want more all u need to do is buy a bigger tub and drill holes in the top and swap out the equip its super cheap in my book

just a new model. the old model was just the one tub .they added a tub and bigger reservoir and called it new
