Alright, I'll have completed the partition in my wardrobe( it's about 2'x2'x4.5' tomorrow, essentially making a seperate grow box. And I'm giving some serious thought to putting an extractor fan in there seeing as there's a 400w hps heating it up. However I'm at a bit of a crossroads as to what would be the best way to go about this. I've constructed a few diagrams of some possibilities.
Of course this option could be done with the extractor fan leading the hot air away via ducting so it doesn't just end up back in the box.

Excuse the mistake in the second pic. Just noticed there's a line to where there's nothing. The extractor fan and ducting are together in the second diagram. In this instance there would just be a hole for hot air to be pushed out, also it would go out of any gaps in the wardrobe.

you would want the extractor fan near the top of the box as heat rises and cold air sinks.. very important for efficiency. so the top image with the ducting on the bottom and the extractor fan on top would be better.

i have a 400w with a air cooled hood attached to that is a 565 cfm squirrel fan (i know is excessive for 400) but since thats so much air moving through that hood i dont even have to run the AC i just leave the fan switch to on. also in this pic the room is 3x3x8 that means the fan exchanges the air about 5 times every min. I ran an AC duct into the ceiling and the hot air is sent to the attic. Then I double framed the door and sealed it with foam weather stripping. Absolutely no light and no air come through that door when its shut, include a door lock and you got a stealthy set up

 Very nice. I think the air cooled reflectors are definitely the best way to go. Although I'm on too tight a budget. It's all euro reflectors and basic model extractor fans from the hardware. Also got ducting today for 1/3 the price cause they had it labeled wrong. Happy days!
