 idea for keeping animals away

so i recently got attacked by some deer, killed one, severely mangled another, and stepped on the last one... i remember last season I had a bottle of piss but thats obvious to a passer byer and if they contact law enforcement they might be able to test the DNA, so I was thinking instead get a piece of carpet and place it somewhere near the vicinity, then every time I go there I could pee on it, and when it rains itll make the smell even worse for the animals and the law enforcement cant say anything about a piece of carpet that has my pee on it... what do you think?

Might work for awhile but the smell will eventually go away. Old school way is to get moth balls and spread them around the garden. Maybe just piss in the dirt around the plants too?

I hear fishing line works pretty well. And predetor pee. Also chicken wire.

fishing line, with a bell on it, but that can be obvious, also buy a salt lick and place it somewhere far from your opp and they will be more attracted to that maybe.. i do know pissing does work well, and the carpet idea may work depending on how often you visit, but it would be rather noticeable, less u have some old forest green shag laying around....

I'll prob sound like a mad bastard suggesting this. But has anyone ever considered climbing a big tree. Like a horsechestnut tree or something, trying to get near the top and sticking a plant up there somehow? I mean noone'll see it probably, no deer up in the tree, loads of sun if you get high enough. Probably very few insects. You could even peel some bark from the tree and tape it around the pot so it's not visible. Then the leaves will just look like leaves from the ground.

I've grown plants in the trees it works pretty well. But it was a lot of work setting it all up.

I'm gonna try it next year when the season's right for growing outside. I've a whole setup in mind. I might make a jpeg and stick it in this thread, pretty simple idea. Doing it in public might be a tad tricky is all.

Here's my proposed setup. Anyone think they can add some constructive criticism? You'd need a pole to bring the pot past the highest branches. They'd be too weak to support it.

I used a pulley system to raise and lower my plants for watering and feeding.

I think tubbing would be easier. It'd need to be somewhat thin. Hose would be too thick. It'd containt too much volume, and then you're working against gravity, which will build up a lot of force. I think 5mm tubing from the hardware store would be good. Could be painted to blend in too.
