i downloaded the madcap laughs by syd barrett onto vuze the files a torrent by the way but i was wondering how i would add this to my itunes library

If it is a .rar or .zip you need to extract the file, but that's unlikely, it's probably just a folder of .mp3s so all you have to do is drag the folder into the iTunes Library or select File --> Add to Library and then select the files and hit Open.
Let me know if they are .flac files, cause that would take some converting.
