The difference is pirate bay actually hosts the tracking software on it's network & servers, google merely searches trackers and links to them. This is still gray area in some ways, however. Many news publishers (the times/washington post) etc are not happy with "google news" http://news.google.com because it scrapes all the news sites and just links to them, making google a lot of money with no real work put in other than developing the aggregate software which just uses the search DB. i love it

pretty good shit. i mean really, where do you draw the line? gov't needs to stop trying to stop micro-managing the people, and stop trying to stop technology. instead, find new professions and jobs and such. stop trying to save the dying ones.

also - anyone read what thepirate bay sent back to whoevers suing them? i dont have a link but a friend read it to me last night, it was pretty funny.

Is a 16 year old guy having sex w/a 16 year old girl a pedophile?
If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

Awh, come on, I've heard the expression "a few bad apples", but this is
just ridiculous.

> Apple has a well-known, longstanding policy of closely guarding
> information about its unreleased products as trade secrets.

I've heard that before somewhere. I just can't remember where...

> We demand that you immediately disable the torrent and/or tracker and
> prevent further distribution of Apple's trade secret and copyrighted
> material.

We demand that you provide us with entertainment by sending more legal
threats. Please?

> OS X Tiger, Build 8A428, including all log files and tracker files

Even if we had that information, which we don't, do you really think we
would provide it to you?

...Or what? You and Hans Brix will send us angry letters? Fortunately
for you, we don't keep sharks as pets.

Instead of simply recommending that you sodomize yourself with a
retractable baton, let me recommend a specific model - the ASP 21". The
previous lawyers tried to use a cheaper brand, but it broke during the
action.
