too late to start an outdoor patch?
    #233628 - 05/28/09 05:37 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

Hey I was just curious if its too late to start an outdoor patch. The last frost here is at the very first couple days of may and the first frost is usually at the end of october. Id like to start mandala's speed queen next weekend if its not too late.
Thanks in advance

It says online that the last frost date is actually june 25th and the first frost date is august 24th. I have some going that I started last week of some lowryder2 and some bigbud x thai haze skunk #1 and the area that I planted it the snow just barelly melted from there 1 week earlier and it was no longer freezing at night.

As long as it isn't scorching outside, plants can be put out now. Actually, its prime time IME. Any earlier and you would have 3ft plants already. They can finish off at over 15ft! So by starting now, things are easier to conceal. 15ft plants sound great, but you will be like "oh fuck". "Man this is obvious" lol.

thanks, very good to know. I found a couple very prime locations that have very very rich dark moist soil and plenty of surrounding vegetation which prevents the areas from drying out quickly. Its a bit of a pain in the ass to get to these places but hopefully it will be worth it.
