    #220681 -

I've been mothering some plants for a little while and want to try cloning---  so I was wondering what all I could use for a growing medium of the rooting??  we dont have any hydro shops around here so I will have to improvise--- does anyone have any suggestions as far as putting together a soil-less mix for rootin in???

I prefer using Rockwool then into DWC hydro with hydrotron. I has work great for me. Rockwool can be ordered online by a friend for you, otherwise if you have any local grow shops (Brew&Grow) they always stock it and some nurseries do as well. Check out my last clones in the pics, made great progress in a decent amount of time. Progress is from right to left.

I used the coco-pellets and got about 7 out of 7 to come through in a simple humidity dome that I made myself.  So alls well so far... one thing though, the leaves keep cupping just a bit and curling a little.  I'm using the black-gold potting soil with about 40% perlite filler for good drainage.  My tap water is ph7 and I add a small dose of botanicare GROW and some MaxiCrop liquid seaweed to the water I give them.  cant get a photo right now but will try to re-post

thanks for the support!!:borat:

yes, I tested the ph of my tap water and it's actually closer to 8.5 so I've begun adjusting it prior to feeding down to 6-6.5 and it seems to be clearing up the problems the moms were having.

Good. Glad to see you got your problem narrowed down. Keep updates coming and try to get some pics, everyone on this site love pics, cause lets face it, if we can't see it it doesn't exist.

I kno me too!  I have the lamest excuse, my camera is broken or battery dead or some dtupid thing---

I'll get some pic of my moms asap on this thread.  The moms have recovered and 7 surviving clones out of 7 is not so bad...

the most recent development is my automatic-ak47 turned out fully hermie.  So I have to consider cutting it altogether or letting it grow elsewhere for a seedcrop.  I'm not so sure the genetics are worth keeping...  any opinions?
