I have a nice (well it use to be) looking pink bromeliad. I was told not to water the soil only the cups. It was doing fine and 1 flower pedle turned gray. Now the whole flower is just about gray and I read that you ARE suppose to water the soil and the cups. What do I do? Anyone else have one of these?
I've got one! Mine came with the same instructions about not watering the soil, only the cups... Sounded fishy to me so I ignored it and the plant is doing alright. Mine also came in a very small pot and was thoroughly root-bound, you may want to look into that as well.
