and I picked up this Romulan. Really dense and sticky, even the stems are shiny! 85 per 1/4
It was a really cool dispensary too. On thursdays you can come in for compassion if you dont have any money and get 1-2 grams free.

Ahh I thought so, they just had a huge sign up from that said Compassion thursday so it kind of surprised me when you said it. I dont know of any growery/shroomery MMJ patients in SF somehow

No. I wish. Just the first thing that comes to ones mind when giving away pot out of compassion on Thursdays is mentioned. I can easily see how they came up with the sign.

So I don't get it. I realize there's dispensaries everywhere and the list of things that will get you a card is a mile long. But how is it so easy to get one? Is there like a list in the phone book of shady ass doctors that just hand out cards to anyone that can come up with an excuse?

That infromation is all over the internet man. It's super easy to find doctors who are sympathetic to cannabis users in California. If you get involved with antiprohibition efforts you'll find out in no time.

Yeah I'm sure it's not too hard to find a doctor through word of mouth or various other means. It just seems odd to me how it all goes down. For example, I've always had issues with insomnia. I imagine that's a legitimate reason for a prescription. But why wouldn't a doctor just prescribe me ambien or something similar? I guess like you said, if they support the anti-prohibition movement then maybe they figure the ends justifies the means. But it just seems kind of fucked up, in a really awesome way :P
Also, have people taken to toking in public, or even on their front porch in CA? As long as you have a card the only people that can bust you are feds right? Or is there something I'm missing?

The doctor wouldnt prescribe you something else because he doesn't, he reccomends cannabis. For example I got mine from a place called Green Relief. You go to a special doctor who does nothing but reccomend pot.
People smoke in public all over SF, but when I lived in SoCal I was a lot more paranoid about smoking in public. State cops technically cant bust you, but I dont need a hassle so I smoke inside for the most part.
