I did the exact same thing. Comes in handy too. Wife, kids, and friends can hook to it like a flash drive and copy all the shit they want off of me easier.
Last crash was a genuine and literal crash too. 20+ pound cat was asleep on top of a stereo system that was on top of an 8 foot bookshelf. Fucker rolled off in his sleep grabbing the stereo on his way down. The stereo landed on my laptop so hard that it broke the 2 inch thick wooden table it was sitting on in half.
