tried diphenhydramine, melatonin, quit all caffeine
nothing works

Sleeping pills. I tried everything else. Half the time they don't work. Get prescribed to them if you really struggle to sleep. I went to sleep at 5 am this morning, and woke up at 8...I was drunk as hell still when I woke up. It's 2:30 and I can't sleep still. This is normal for me. I start getting delusional. I got off of them, but I'm going back to the doctor for them again.

i tried lunesta, it did not help whatsoever - none - zero
i thought about giving ambien a shot but i just wonder if it will have the same effect (or lack of) as lunesta

Lunesta sucks...It was bullshit for me. Ambien did okay, but didn't help me get to sleep...Once I was asleep I was fine though.
Something called restoril does fucking amazing things for me. It doesn't have the hangover side effects that most do. It's a benzo though so it's kind of addicting, but it worked.

I smoke a blunt of the headiest indica I can find plus I eat a big meal, I am usually up for another hour or two sitting in the dark listening to music.

I take all those things plus nyquil just to get a full nights sleep sometimes.
I can only use melatonin once or twice out of the week. It either effects me by making me wake up way early wide awake or it forces me to stay up that next day without being able to go to sleep.
Insomnia is a bitch.

have you tried sleeping to a sleep schedule?
I can only sleep properly if I stick to a routine.
I need to say sleep at or before 1am and work out every day and be up sometime before 10am... for example.
very few people actually have full blown insomnia.

yeah man i feel you on the insomnia thing. thought i was the only one.
the last like 3-4 days ive gotten no less than 2, but no more than 3 hours of sleep. and its not like im doing shit, i just lay in my bed allll night.
it really sucks. benzos and MJ and the way i beat it. but.. i dont do benzos anymore and now im awake lol

1/2 pint of bourbon or more + weed every night. Occasionally a benzo. My insomnia can get so bad that sometimes the alcohol and weed isn't enough alone. I need to find a substitute and quit all that one of these days. Can't do it forever. Or can I? When I was younger and before I got into that routine nothing worked. Some night I pretty much just didn't sleep. I've been like that all of my life. Reading would at least help keep from going nuts while I lay there and sometimes it helped make me sleep.

insomnia i think is a byproduct of the modern world, there is so much useless bullshit chatter going on inside peoples head's nowadays they cant relax. people just need to fucking chill and goto sleep, what a bullshit disorder. i used to have a ambien scrip few years ago but that is bullshit. a small amount of exercise daily has helped me more than any chemical.

I stayed up for 2 weeks one time with like 6 hours of sleep total...It took that, and me living with my parents for a few weeks for the doctor to finally believe me. Oh and he drug tested me...Fortunately all I had in me was weed, and how can you say that's the cause of your insomnia.
Anyway, lack of sleep can lead to mental and physical problems. If it is as bad as mine I would get treated asap. It can really fuck you up. My life revolves around my insomnia. I have to plan my day, and all the bullshit to cope with it...It blows.

yeah insomnia fucking sucks, ive had it lately cause ive been sober for a while.....one thing that kind of works for me is staying up all night and then not going to sleep until the next night, gets you back on a normal sleeping pattern, but i usually end up screwing it up again within a week lol. fuck sleeping pills, but pot usually helps me sleep

I have had insomnia for so long that my body actually only needs 1-2 hours of sleep to function perfectly so I just spend my nights up drawing plans for future grows and other random shit, I honsetly have over 2,000 pages of grow designs.

I got a job on 3rd shift, I figure why fight what my body naturally does? It works out great I haven't slept this good working 1st or second shift. It really helped a lot.
