Interesting I myself havent used a cane in 14yrs.
But I do have some eye sight and use to well.
I know many who dont and some move around better than others.
I like that link.

Yea my is 20\200 in my good left eye, and 20\600 in my right eye.
But glasses willnt help me.
I stil love life and get high to the fullest.
That rly is a good read, most people I meet never know my problem unless they ask me to read something. Its always funny starting a job and the boss ask do u see this and Im like not rly but I got it.

That was a cool article though. I see that requires eyes that work though the brains processing doesn't. My mother is blind and has prosthetic eyes so that's out. Of course I knew that though when I was a very little kid and would move the furniture on her.

Would be interesting to see if his brain has developed in such a way that he doesn't need light to see.
Essentially he's in the dark all the time, perception wise anyways, apart from what he senses.

I imagine it would depend on the level of darkness. I'm sure at least some light is needed.

I think it depends on the person.
Like me the less light the better I get around.

i wonder if there are more studies of this nature; perception of the world by the eye without using the standard ocular center.
