I've been searching for that here haven't really found anything other then them feeding on corpses of people who have drowned reducing it to mostly bones but that was hours afterward. They do bite people but I can't find anything about them killing someone, I would think it would take a massive amount??

it is fake.
piranha's won't strategically aim for ones head.
pigo cariba are basically the only piranha that are a danger to humans and the one pictured is a red belly.

in biology class we used to have 3 red belly piranha and they were gentle as normal fish
we used to feed them little chunks of steak
but they were big pussies
my teacher ended up getting rid of them and getting a boa named Red

or I know someone with a 730gal aquarium that's over stocked with cariba and a couple of his more aggresive red belly piranha's.
I'm kinda like a crappy version of steve erwin... I like pets... exotic animals... that jazz.
