they have an email address its like reply-to-sale@craigslist.org or someshit with a bunch of numbers you send a message to that it forwards it to the address of the person who posted. they do it to hide peoples email addresses

reply to sale-xxxxxxxx@craigslist.com, copy paste into a new email message or just click it
it will forward your message to the poster's personal email.

The best way to keep track of craigslist listing and effectively reply is to use the "email this posting to a friend" link in the top right and just send the listing to your mailbox. Then, when you get the mail from craigslist, just hit reply and send your message to the listing poster.
Easy easy, and you can keep track of that e-mail thread with the relevant listing information.
Craigslist rules and i highly encourage its use if you live in a city with relatively low-crime, in rougher areas be careful because I've met some shady characters through it.

that didnt work for me. it sent it to the email i had to put down, when i clicked the 'email to a friend' feature.

it's a two step process, brah.
After you send the posting to yourself, just hit reply and your message will make it to the original listing poster.

and when i check my sent messeges it says it sent it to whatever i put down on 'my email' at the email posting to a friend page.
