LoL I do understand the process and how the science works, I call hash the honey at the end, its available in oils, honey and a thick paste here, that's all I have known, not squashed marijuana called hash.
But I get what you mean now, your saying you can make it from a squashed block of buds (pressed marijuana) and its not worth the effort yeah?
why is it called hash if its just pressed marijuana?

no, lol, ok, you've never seen solid hash before? All you've smoked is oil?
Solid hash is made from collecting the trichome heads from buds and plant material. This can be done by using silk screen, water collection, hand rubbing, etc. The collected trichome heads are then piled up and pressed to form small blocks of solid hash.
that's what solid hash looks like.
So, now that i understand you, yes you are right. You can't refine oil, oil is probably the purest form you can get of THC through extraction. You can't take the oil you've collected from your method and run it through again to get a purer product. But you can put solid hash into a tube and refine it further.

Never seen it only oils and pastes , I understand you completely now lol I never thought about compressing it lol, I do have a mesh bag that goes into the tumble dryer to extract them but we just smoke that by rolling into little balls and dropped into the cone on top of bud not compressed or anything so if I compress the trichomes after they have been extracted in the mesh bag that's hash too yeah

yup. although, in a way, it's technically keif just a purer form of it since there isn't any plant matter mixed in with the heads.
All hash is is the collected trichome heads from buds/trim. That's it.
