and maybe i'm a little weird about this, but does anyone else find it either insulting or rude to wipe your hand in front of a person you just shook hands with?

Sometimes my hands are sweaty, so I don't care if people wipe their hands after they shake mine.

yea. but i mean following the shake, i always see it's instinct to wipe your hand on your pantleg or something when you put your hand down.
i guess it's a force of habit though. like looking at your tissue right after you blow your nose

I wipe my hand off before the shake (have bad luck with people shaking my hand right after using the side of my hand to sqeegee sweat off my forehead), but not after. I agree that seems insulting.

Yeah, I find it rude. It's kind of insulting. I always think of that when I shake someones hand, so I wipe my hand of before so it's a decent handshake.
