who has a good brown sugar compost recipe, i thought I'd mix it with something for the bacteria to compost
whatever sugar the bacteria doesn't eat goes into the dirt for the plant to absorb

i got you, i just thought the blender would help errate it so it would spread out more, and not just end up in one spot
mistaunga, i'm trying to make a compost tea, i've been using a little brown sugar, and it GREATLY increases microbial growth, so i figured why not add something to compost since it'll decompose in a day or two
compost is the best source of nutrients since it has the nutritional value of another plant and will support a massive amount of nitrogen, a little brown sugar will increase the process quite a few fold

this is pointless because black strap provides the same thing you're looking for without all the mess and work.
Compost teas should provide essential nutrients, not just sugars. Most compost teas are brewed with guanos and such to help feed the plants. Your tea wouldn't do much, im not even sure how effective brown sugar is compared to other things out there.

your right, there's more effective ways
but wouldn't do much? brown sugars decompose things, this is microbial growth involved. It breaks things down and gives nitrogen fixing bacteria a chance to thrive. there's some controversy over whether or not plants will absorb so much sugar as they aren't configured to take in sugars as much as produce them. However, many growing sites have shown that adding brown sugar even in foliar feeding helps the plants grow better, quicker, and fight infection. So that proves that the sugar does help the plant, not just the bacteria.
as for fruit rinds such as banana peels, orange peels, apple cores and whatnot. I figured blending these things would help the bacteria eat them better. adding sugar to the mix would greatly enhance the microbial growth and break this down faster giving quicker nutrients and more nitrogen fixing bacteria, i believe which is urea, i could be wrong. Anyone who's left sugar with the smallest soil and some water for a day or so can tell from the frothing foam that the bacteria are thriving. In fact, there's a big post about it on this board or the next with pictures and a big recipe of teas and such. In fact, it's probably like the 5th post and i'm just forgetting to read through everything.

urea is a salt that provides nitrogen. Personally i wouldn't just go throwing peels and rinds into my soil. I'd compost them first before letting them just rot in my soil.
There's nothing wrong with adding sugars or creating composts. Your method just seems a bit.... impractical?
